The Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) will have its second General Membership Meeting on June 21 at the Hardrock Café in Makati starting at 3 pm. The meeting dubbed as PR FORUM will feature two main learning sessions. One is “Election PR Postscript: What Worked and What Didn’t”, which dissects the various PR strategies employed by candidates that proved to be successful as well as those that were deemed
ineffective. The panel of speakers will be Ms. Yoly Ong, Group Chairperson of Campaigns and Grey, who has been at the center of numerous political campaign strategies and executions including the midterm election last May. Joining her will be Former Comelec Commssioner Gus Lagman, president of Logic Management Inc. who is expected to share his own observations of the last election and campaign on a PR perspective among others.
The PR Forum will also tackle crisis management in its “PR Take: Handling Crisis” as a learning treat for its members and guests. Main resource speaker for the topic is seasoned PR professional and professor at the University of the Philippines, Dr. Dante Velasco, APR, Chairman of Creative Point Inc. and former DOTC Undersecretary and Spokesperson. Velasco will share some pointers and ideas on how to handle crisis situations well with some reference to recent incidents involving Serendra and Cebu Pacific.
