The Legal Education Board (LEB) in partnership with the Philippine Association of Law Schools (PALS) and the Ateneo Law School honors outstanding law professors who have set students’ and other lawyers’ “hearts on fire.”
The installation rites of the awardees to the “Law Professors Hall of Fame” and the awards night will be held on November 19, 2012 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ (CCP) Little Theater.
Former Chief Justice Reynato S. Puno, who was the chairman of the award selection committee, said that “the establishment of a Hall of Fame is a belated, nonetheless, welcome effort to accord recognition to our beloved professors of law, unsung teachers who taught our justices and legal practitioners the sense and esoterics of the rule of law.”
Among those who will be installed to the hall of fame are: Fr. Joaquin G. Bernas, SJ, Justice Isagani A. Cruz, Justice Oscar M. Herrera, Sr., Justice Vicente V. Mendoza, former Chief Justice Andres R. Narvasa, Justice Ricardo C. Puno, Sr., Justice Florenz D. Regalado, Justice Lorenzo R. Relova, former Senator Jovito R. Salonga and Justice Jose C. Vitug.

Jurado, Dean Rodolfo C. Palma, Justice Edgardo L. Paras, Justice Jose B.L. Reyes, Senator Lorenzo M. Tañada and Justice Conrado M. Vasquez.
