Manila, Philippines - ) Seven remarkable years since its entry into the local advertising and marketing industry, the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP) announces this year’s edition of its highly anticipated annual Summit. 'Digital Drive: Trending Towards ROI’ is the exciting theme of the 7th Internet and Mobile Marketing Summit 2013 that will run August 29 to 30 at the Power Plant Mall, Rockwell Center in Makati.
Return on Investment (ROI) is the bottom-line of all business, and that goes the same for all endeavors done on digital. This year’s theme is purposely all business, and no complaints from industry peers there. ‘Digital Drive: Trending Towards ROI’ feedback calls on its relevance and timeliness.
“The 7th Internet and Mobile Marketing Summit 2013 will articulate and show the utilization of digital to propel business, spur growth, and attain ROI. As a tool that transforms business, digital marketing delivers results through precise metrics and return-on-investments,” says Miguel Ramos, IMMAP 2013 President.
“The business of digital is measurable and it is 'sexy' when we come down to see real results of our campaign, where we spend our budgets, and most of all, if it worth our investments for both ROI and ROMI (Return on Marginal Investments),” adds Mike Palacios, who is also Vice-President of IMMAP and Co-Chair, IMMAP Summit 2013.
According to a Forbes Magazine article “Why ROI is Often Wrong For Measuring Marketing Impact” by Daniel Kehrer, “KPI measurement is not just about ROI, and ROI does not mean just money. Marketers’ KPIs must have other considerations beyond money that include other ‘marginal’ measurements that include merits in aspects like brand recognition and awareness, market positioning, and brand loyalty, to name a few.”
As Mench Viduya, Co-Chair, IMMAP Summit 2013, explains, “The theme of the 7th IMMAP Summit is timely, and is from the perspective of revisiting KPIs. These are targets, tools of execution and assigned KPIs that measure performance against desired results, and evaluate at the end if targets are being met.”
Relatively young, the rise of IMMAP as a player in the industry is as simply stellar, robust from the technology that feeds it. In its pocket are two of the country’s most recognized events, the IMMAP Summit and the Boomerang Awards, whose renown is on a steady climb.
The high brand equity of the annual IMMAP Summit is prestigious in the sense that the best global thought leaders, authors, and leading industry experts are invited to present current issues, trends and industry forecast in digital marketing. This year’s talks include Performance Marketing by Ruth Stubbs, iProspect, CEO-APAC; Digital Driving Growth by Nick David Fawbert, Head of Digital Enterprise, Media Corp.; The ROI of Social by Thomas Crampton, Director, Ogilvy, Asia Pacific; The Changing Customer Behaviour by Lester Sualog, Digital and Mobile Life Lead, TNS Philippines; Digital Marketing Landscape 2013 by Joe Nguyen, Senior Vice President, comScore, Inc., Asia Pacific, to name some.
From the Philippines, Eugenio ‘Gabby’ Lopez III, Chairman of ABS-CBN, leads the line-up of Experts, who will discuss 'Insights About Innovation: Online and Offline Synergies' and from the Cannes Lions award-winning Smart Txtbk by Merlee Jayme, Chair & Chief Creative Officer DM9JaymeSyfu.
The 7th IMMAP Summit will set local tinseltown tweeting, with a Panel Discussion on The Power of Celebrity in a Twitter World featuring Anne Curtis, Bianca Gonzales and Nikki Gil.
With obsolescence and irrelevance hovering perennially, IMMAP never rests from rolling out revolutionary ideas, and always bringing-in the next big thing before it breaks. IMMAP Summit creates the venue for industry discussions like no other learning event can.
“The annual IMMAP Summit will continue to set the course of innovation in terms of content and thought leaders in each edition. This is the guiding principle of IMMAP as an industry association and organizer of the learning event. IMMAP recognizes its role to lead thought leadership, influence and advocate digital marketing in the country,” states Norelyn T. Babiera, Vice President of Fiera de Manila, Inc. and IMMAP Treasurer, who is also the Event Manager of the annual Summit.
The annual IMMAP Summit is attended by more than 700 delegates every year with 32 conference sessions for two (2) days.
